The International Advisory Committee of the HRB Primary Care CTNI met for the first time in Galway on 5-6 October 2016. Internationally-recognised primary care academics from Canada, the UK and Germany gathered to the backdrop of the Hall of the Red Earl, a famous medieval archaeological site in the heart of Galway, to engage with Network members on current and future research. Director of the Network, Prof Andrew Murphy, welcomed IAC members to Ireland.Work package leaders, Dr Akke Vellinga, Prof Susan Smith, Dr Paul O’Connor and Prof Declan Devane reported on progress to date. Professor Frank Sullivan, Director of the University of Toronto Practice-Based Research Network (UTOPIAN) chaired the two-day meeting.
