Dr Hynes delivered a webinar for the Network on 21 May 2019 in which she discussed the benefits, barriers & use of Asthma Action Plans in Irish primary care, and her work on the Take Action for Asthma Control study which she carried out at West Virginia University.

Dr Lisa Hynes is a post doctoral researcher with the HRB Primary Care CTNI, working as project manager of the MY COMRADE project.

So far, Lisa’s work has focused on using research to understand and better meet the needs of young people with long-term conditions, such as type 1 diabetes and asthma. At West Virginia University,  Lisa coordinated a study to develop a new education tool to prompt young people and their families as they make asthma management decisions.
