The RiSolve Study
RiSolve
Thank you for your interest in the RiSolve study. We are currently in the final preparation stage, and will be opening the study to participants in the coming weeks. See below for information on how to add your detailed to be contacted directly once the study opens.
On this page you will find a brief summary, followed by a link to download the Patient Information Leaflet and contact details for the study team.

RiSolve is an app designed to help women with Overactive Bladder (OAB) gain control over their symptoms, and reduce its impact on their lives. The app delivers an 8-week programme that consists of behavioural therapy and physiotherapy, bladder health education, nutritional guidance, and psychology to treat the symptoms of OAB.
This study will assess the usability of the RiSolve app, as well as its effects on reducing symptoms of Overactive Bladder. If you are a woman who suffers from Overactive Bladder or experiences urinary incontinence, you may be eligible to take part. Participation is free, and can be done from the comfort of your own home; all you need is a smartphone and an internet connection.
The study is expected to start in mid September, and will involve a number of steps:
- After you register your interest and the study opens, a member of the research team will get in touch and arrange to speak to you for a brief screening process. This is to ensure that the trial is right for you.
- You will then be asked to give consent to proceed, and asked to complete initial assessments. All data will be safely stored, and only accessible within the study database managed by the research team.
- Once you are confirmed as eligible and your consent recorded, the app will then be issued to you. The programme being studied takes 8 weeks to complete, and 10 weeks of access will be given to allow for this.
- Once the 8 week treatment period is complete, you’ll be asked to complete one more set of assessments.
